NAB’s Executive Development Seminar

EDS will be held at NAB Headquarters in Washington, DC, July 17-21, 2016. The program will increase a broadcaster’s managerial effectiveness and is taught by nationally known business leaders and professors from top-ranked universities. NAB’s estimate is around $30,000 for a company to produce this program on its own.

Broadcasters will develop their skills in:

• Effective negotiations

• Financial management

• Strategic planning

• Communications

• Brand management and social media strategies

• Cultivating strong internal teams

The Maine Association of Broadcasters Board of Directors has voted to sponsor one attendee from Maine for 2016. MAB will cover the $2,200 early-bird registration fee, which includes tuition, instructional materials and most meals, and will reimburse reasonable travel expenses (coach airfare, hotel, taxi to & from airport). This opportunity is open to employees of radio and TV stations which are MAB members in good standing.

Procedures/Timeline

In addition to the application, please submit a Letter of Support from your station manager. Completed applications that meet the above criteria and are received or postmarked by the February 29, 2016, deadline will be considered. In the event that more than one application is received, one awardee will be selected at random. The awardee will be notified by April 1st, 2015. Please email completed applications to .
