Mini-Grants for Teachers of Students with E/BD

APPLICATION

The Illinois Council for Children with Behavior Disorders (ILCCBD) would like to support special educators and other professional who are improving the education of children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral disorders (E/BD). To that end, ILCCBD is providing funding for mini-grants to fund projects that will provide a direct benefit to students with E/BD.

Mini-Grant Award Winners Will Receive:

A maximum award of $500.00

Free Registration to the 2015 ILCCBD Winter-Drive-In Conference

Guidelines

  • All funds must be usedto provide services to students as detailed in the proposed budget;
  • To be considered for an award, recipients must:
  • Be a member of CEC and CCBD
  • Complete a Mini-Grant application
  • Provide a one-page narrative describing the project
  • Provide a detailed proposed budget for the project
  • Project must be completed by June 30, 2015.
  • Upon conclusion of the project, a written evaluation report must be provided to the ILCCBD board by July 1, 2015.
  • Awards are non-transferable.
  • Awards will not be awarded to the same individual/group for consecutive years.
  • Award winners must agree to present the results of their project at the 2016 Winter Drive-In or Summer Institute and also must agree to serve on the Mini-Grant Committee for the following year.

Application Procedures

  1. Complete application (cover sheet, one-page narrative, and budget) and submit electronically to: Elizabeth Hardman () by October 31st, 2014.
  2. Proposals will be forwarded to the Mini-Grant committee for review. The review will be based only on the information provided in the cover page, narrative, and budget. Grants that do not provide a direct benefit to students with EBD will not be considered.
  3. The Mini-grant Committee will make recommendations for the final approval of the ILCCBD Board.
  4. Mini-Grant winners will be notified in writing by the ILCCBD President no later than December 15, 2014.
  5. Awards will be given at the ILCCBD Winter Drive-In Conference, February 7, 2015.
