Within the tourism and travel industry there is a variety of stimulating jobs and professions. You can choose to work in a travel agency, in a hotel or at an airport. Economy

The education at the folk high-school is cost-free, but you do pay for your study tours and literature as well as for some special courses.

Practical training

The education also contains as much as 18 week’s practical training. We have a vast contact network within the industry and we will help you find a trainee post in Sweden or abroad, within your areas of interest. Two weeks are in the second term and sixteen weeks in the third. The third term is vocational and is carried out mainly in the form of distance tuition with occasional course meetings. After that it is up to you whether you want to work in Sweden or abroad.

After graduation

With our training programme you receive a broad competence in tourism, recreation and service. We have a good reputation among businesses in the tourism and travel industry and our students have no difficulties finding interesting jobs after graduation. During the training, you also have the opportunity to grow as a person in addition to having a great time.

Application

20 students are accepted for the course each year. We usually have about 100 applicants, which is why we make a first cut where we invite approximately 50 applicants to an information meeting. The meeting includes a presentation of the school and the course, a guided tour around campus, meeting with teachers and current students and of course an interview with the applicants.

When you apply, we want you to ad a personal letter where you justify why you want to attend this course. Naturally, we hope that you will come to our information meeting. We believe that it might be pleasant and useful to you to visit our school in order to better form an opinion on whether this training suits you.

Welcome to the Tourism course!
