Thursday May 15

Depart ICJS via deluxe motor coach for Newark’s Liberty International Airport. Depart the United States on your International flight to Israel. Dinner and breakfast will be served on board.

Friday May 16

Upon arrival in Israel, you will be met and assisted by an Abrams Travel representative and escorted to meet your driver and guide.

·  Mount of the Beatitudes, traditional site of the Sermon on the Mount (Mt 5:1-11, Lk 6:17-22)

·  Tabgha, traditional site of the Miracle of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes (Mt 14:13-21, Mk 6:32-44, Lk 9:10b-17, Jn 6:1-15) and of the fourth resurrection appearance (Jn 21:1-24)

·  Capernaum and the remains of a 2nd century synagogue; according to tradition, the town Jesus selected as the center of his public ministry in the Galilee, and the traditional site of Jesus’ teaching in the synagogue (Mk 1:21-28, Lk 4:31-37)

·  Nof Ginosar, our Kibbutz hotel on the shores of the Sea of Galilee

·  Welcome in Shabbat

·  City of David, the oldest settled neighborhood of Jerusalem and site of Kind David’s palace and capital

·  The Old City of Jerusalem, the Davidson Center, the Southern Wall excavations

·  Western Wall/Kotel; walk through the tunnel that follows the underground portion of the wall; exit along the Via Dolorosa; Antonia Fortress, Ecce Homo Arch, Church of St. Anne, Pool of Bethesda, Arab Bazaar, Church of the Holy Sepulchre (Christian Quarter)

·  Meet with Ari Elon, a teacher from Binah, a secular Israeli yeshiva; meet with MK Ruth Calderon

·  Dinner and overnight, Tel Aviv, Guest Lecture by Etti Tammuz on Israeli literature and poetry

Tuesday May 27

·  Independence Hall, where David Ben Gurion declared the State of Israel

·  Nachalat Benyamin Street Fair, open air Carmel Market

·  Bauhaus architecture that has given Tel Aviv the name “The White City”

·  Rabin Center, to learn more about the history of Israeli society

·  Walk through the ancient streets of Jaffa before enjoying a Farewell Dinner: Maganda

·  Evening transfer to airport for return flight to the United States
