- A Joyful Purpose, This purpose was—
- TO PRAISE GOD.

I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works. - Praise is surely the expression of a full and satisfied heart
- The salvation accomplished for us by Jesus Christ is such as demands continual praise

By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
- TO TESTIFY FOR GOD.

- Heathenthoughts and practices are rebuked in the presence of the Lord.
- Because of His MERCY.

And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. - God, power are within the reach of the wholehearted seeker
- An Inspiring HopeThis is—
- Psalms 9:7 (King James Version)
But the LORD shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment. - The Hope of ENDURANCE.
- The blessings of God's grace are as lasting as God Himself
- As long as He endures, His redeemed ones are safe in the arm of the lord
- The Hope of SALVATION
- Psalms 9:9 (King James Version)
The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.
