------

PANAAWTM began as a small group of women, predominantly from Asia, who were enrolled in graduate theological institutions or working in ministry in the United States in 1984 to explore common interests and the possibility of forming a network, which later developed to include all North American Asian women. PANAAWTM holds annual conferences to address from Asian Women’s perspectives subjects such as the differences between Asian and Asian American, being Asian and women, theology, hermeneutics, youth ministry, sexuality issues, and institutional leadership. As more members have got their doctorates or have engaged in different Church ministries, PANAAWTM builds up an increasing capacity of mentoring and mutual support.
