June 17, 2014
1. Financial Review
Concessions was a huge success this year. Thank you to the Field Hockey team for running many of the stands. The numerous tournaments and events added to the concessions’ success.
Sara Barden expressed concern about the school store. It did not bring in profits as usual. Inventory should be taken and kept better track of. It was mentioned that many students do not know about the store. Fio Nardone reports that it might be relocated to a room which may help on sales. Sara Barden and Laura Frawley will meet over the summer and check inventory and become more involved in the operation.
2. Membership
Applications are still coming in. Any forms received at this time will be put towards next school year. A discussion was had about putting a date on the form stating “anything received after June 15 will count towards the next school year.”
Forms will go out with back to school packets.
3. Upcoming events and concessions
No events until the fall season. Jay will get dates of any fall tournaments to arrange concessions.
4. Brick Sales
Large bricks still waiting to be installed. Order forms were given at the annual dinner.
5. Senior Awards Dinner
Dinner was a huge success. Journal ads doubled. Scholarships given were about the same. Cost remained the same.
6. New Business
The club will purchase a propane catering grill from the Dutchess Youth Football Club via Coach Rescigno. Cost will be $200-$250. This will be used for concessions and team BBQs.
Concession Stand is still in discussion. Fio Nardone reported that it seems the administration is leaning towards having a portable stand that can be moved. A request was made that the Administration come to the next meeting in September.
Anna Veteri is inquiring about the map of Yorktown fundraiser.
A proposal was made to send out a letter advertising the concession stand fundraiser. A donation will be requested asking for people to give whatever amount they feel comfortable.
Sara Barden will step down as club treasurer but will continue to supervise the concession stand as well as the school store.
Rocky Bonitatibus will step down as club vice president.
