The Széchenyi Award

(ESTABLISHED 2011)

INTRODUCTION:

For over 50 years the Calgary Chapter of the Hungarian Veterans’ Association (HVA) has been actively involved in selected community projects both here in Calgary and in our former homeland of Hungary. These endeavors have realized projects and improved the lives of many. The sponsorships have provided assistances to schools, churches, and children nurseries, victims of natural and man-caused tragedies, literary projects, educational pursuits and student scholarships.

In commemoration of the 55th annual Hungaria Gala Ball, the Hungarian Veterans’ Association is proud to establish The Széchenyi Award.
