MAINTENANCE DIVISION MANAGER

This is a senior managerial position that requires extensive technical knowledge, administrative and computer abilities. Work responsibilities will include managing staff, planning, scheduling, coordinating and assigning maintenance activities across Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority (CCMWA). This position, in consultation with others: prioritizes maintenance needs, and schedules, obtains and assigns resources to meet CCMWA’s maintenance program needs in an efficient and effective manner.

·  Efficiently and effectively manage staff

·  In coordination with Division Managers and Directors; aids in planning, scheduling and executing CCMWA’s Asset Renewal, Replacement and Rehabilitation Program (AR&R Program)

·  Uses CCMWA’s Computerized Maintenance Management/Asset Management System to: generate work orders, track inventory, and assign, plan and budget resources.

·  Manages ongoing contracts to include: Coatings Maintenance, Grounds Maintenance, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Electrical Support Services and other programs as assigned.

·  Manages activities with contractors, vendors and others to resolve problems, ensure compliance with specifications and obtain best value for the Authority.

·  Prepares and monitors the Division’s operating and capital budget allocations

·  Manages the required maintenance of tenant-occupied buildings and facilities

·  Responsible for the effective and efficient use of Maintenance Division resources across the Authority

·  Responsible for providing training for Maintenance Division staff that is current, applicable and consistent across the Authority

·  Responsible for creation and upkeep of the Authority’s overall Maintenance Plan and standard maintenance procedures

·  Responsible for overall development of diagnostic technologies and skilled staff and/or outsourced resources to use for consistently applied reliability-centered, predictive and planned maintenance

·  Responsible to review/edit Maintenance Safety Procedures, and ensure safe practices are followed and personal protection equipment is used and documented

Training and Experience:

A minimum of 7 years of experience in Water/Wastewater treatment industry, with at least 2 in a managerial or supervisory position with responsibility for maintenance activities, or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities to succeed in this position.

Desired training and/or certifications include: Plant Maintenance Technologist Certification from a state or national certifying agency; graduation and degree from a technical college or higher institute of learning; certification as a Georgia “Water Treatment Plant Operator”; demonstrable experience with charts or similar; critical path methodology; equipment maintenance analysis; predictive maintenance and scheduling/execution of capital projects

Must maintain a valid driver’s license with good driving record

SALARY RANGE: $85,260 to $136,416
