Human Body System Major Project Instructions Revised

You will be required to make a human body system book for the following systems:

(1)Digestive-979 (2) Respiratory--957 (3) Skeletal--925, (4) Muscle--927, (5) Nervous--897 (6) Excretory--986 (7) Circulatory--945 and (8) Immune—1039

Each system will be required to be separate from the rest, be colorful, and accurately present the information asked for. Each system will be graded as a daily grade.I will check your daily grades off at certain intervals to be announced later. Two major grades will be generated from the 8 daily grades. The due dates will be decided as we progress through the six weeks. Hole-punch all 8 system papers and make a booklet out of construction paper. You then must decorate the cover of your booklet which includes a title, your name, and period number. You may print out a picture for your cover. You will bind them together with yarn. You must do the following for each system:

  1. State the overall function of the system(see pg 892-893)
  2. Identify 6 major components/parts and their functions within each system in complete sentences
  3. Draw a picture or diagram of the system with labeled parts of major components. The page number for the diagram in the book is given above. (NO printing off the computer)
  4. Describe 3 diseases or disorders that affect each system; you may also include other facts that you find interesting about the system if you cannot find any diseases or disorders.
  5. Describe 3 diseases or disorders that affect each system; you may also include other facts that you find interesting about the system if you cannot find any diseases or disorders.
  6. State one example or situation in which each system interacts/affects one other body system.
