HowIEMCA Bar Feeder + Parts Catcher + Sub-Spindle + Y-Axis

Easy/Fast Conversational Programming

How HolesCycle Blocks - The control automatically calculates feed and speed data based on tool feed/revolution.
Automatic drill tip compensation takes the pain out of calculating the tip length manually.

How Cutoff Cycle Blocks -Includes standard pecking and advanced pecking, which allows you to define three different peck levels and assign different speeds and feeds to each to safely drop the part. You can define the safe rapid point and instruct the parts catcher to advance based on the diameter of the part.

How Bar feeder Cycle Blocks - Includes a bar pull operation in addition to bar feeding operations. Feed the bar to a conventional bump stop or gently guide the stock into position. Supports easy programming of gripper-type bar pullers, coolant-actuated, or collet-type bar pullers.

How Tool Pre-Setter

The conversational tool presetting routines make tool setup faster and more accurate because they help you intuitively set the tool length and diameter.
We make it incredibly easy. No complex NC macros to master and edit…just common sense conversational data blocks.

The IRON

TMXMYSiMill Turn Lathes

Designed for Maximum Rigidity

  • One-piece bed casting
  • Extra wide saddle
  • Oversized guide rails
  • strategically spaced to provide excellent support to the cross slide
  • built with the same precision grinding technology used to manufacture bearings for superior acceleration and deceleration performance at full load-carrying capacity in all directions.
  • each bearing block is independently and automatically lubricated to promote long life

Large Diameter Pre-Tensioned Double-Nut Ball Screws for X and Z Axes

  • hardened and ground, centered between the guide ways, and anchored at both ends with pre-loaded ABEC-7 precision class angular contact thrust bearings to prevent backlash and deliver outstanding positioning and repeatability with virtually no thermal growth
  • re-circulating ball nut ensures low friction power transmission from the screw to the slide
  • results in high accuracy, high rapid traverse rates, and high feed thrust

Thermal Growth Prevention

  • component isolation system minimizes heat dissipation by isolating heat-generating components
  • equipped with spindle chiller
  • short, live-tool, drive train generates less heat

Advanced Spindle Technology

  • high output, digitally-controlled spindle motor
  • spindle motor is strategically designed for easy access to facilitate efficient maintenance

VDI/BMT Servo Turret

  • quick-change tooling
  • faster and more accurate tool indexes
  • short drive train provides more horsepower and torque transfer to the tool, higher reliability, and quieter operation

The TECHNOLOGY

TMXMYS Series Mill Turn Lathes

The TECHNOLOGY

TMXMYS Series Mill Turn Lathes

Radial or Axial Milling

Benefits: Simplifies complexity of programming mill turn features.

How: Multiple milling strategies, including Lines and Arcs, Circle, Frame, Slot, Axial Flats, and/or Lettering. The slot is a good example of how the control makes programming easy.

You can use linear or rotary coordinates, including the Y-axis, by defining the slot width and then defining the start and end styles using a line or an arc. You can choose different plunge feed types, including straight, zig-zag, or rapid.

SimplifiedY-axis milling

Benefits: Simplifies programming for mill turn operations.

How: Intuitive interface—simply check a box to indicate you want to use the Y-axis for axial and radial machining operations such as holes and contours.

Uncomplicated Sub-Spindle Programming

Benefits: Easy to learn.

How: We’ve broken down the sub-spindle operations into two simple stages

Stage 1 - Program the sub-spindleStage 2 - Program the release of the part
positioning and clamping of the part.from the main spindle and re-position the sub spindle.

Solid Model Verification Graphics

Benefits: Reduces scrap. Reduces programming time. Quickly proves out the part program.

How: Solid rendering of the tool path, including dynamic rotation, tool cut simulation, dynamic view manipulation, and more! You can view the rendered part as a quarter or half cut-away with semi-transparency to see more of the toolpath information especially inside the part. Each peck level can be optionally displayed to see as much detail as you need, choose from single step view and next tool change view.
