How To Copy Data Warehouse On-Line Exam Grades to eSembler

Step 1-Copy Grades from Data Warehouse to an Excel CSV File

Access the Final Exams from Data Warehouse

  • Log in to Data Warehouse
  • Click ON-LINE TESTS
  • Click the down-arrow under PERIOD-COURSE and select the class
  • Click REPORTS
  • Choose the test
  • Click TEST SCORES
  • Make sure that the scores have been scaled. That is, the SCALE PCT score should have a numerical value in that column. Note: The test has not yet been scaled if it indicates “N/A”. If that is the case, try again later or check with the curriculum coordinator to find out when the scores will be scaled).
  • Once sure that the scores have been scaledclick the CSV icon on the Data Warehouse screen and then when asked to Open, Save or Cancel, choose the SAVE option. This will save it as a CSV file. Save the file giving it a name and location that can easily be found.
  • SAVE IN:- Recommended to save it in MY DOCUMENTS
  • FILE NAME: File name defaults to period and course number but can be changed

It is important that the file be a CSV file or else eSembler will not be able to import the scores.Note: Scores should not have a decimal or a percent sign-----if they do, contact the Testing and Evaluation Dept at ext. 70008.

Repeat the above steps for all classes (obviously, you do not need to log in again)

  • Click the "Browse" button on the Import Scores pop-up window and browse to the CSV file saved above
  • Click the "Import" button
You should see a message similar to “25 assignment scores were successfully imported." ; Click "OK"

It is recommended that you check the first student and the last student's grades and perhaps spot check one or two others. The reason for doing the spot-check is to make sure the copy/paste was done correctly.
