Choose at least two novels each term. I like to pick historical fiction and classics that fit in with the time period being studied in history. Choose the second novel for your child to read alone. You may also like to choose picture books. You can also add some nature readers for science. To keep your Australian content high choose at least one Australian novel each year.

Choose two novels each term. I like to pick historical fiction and classics that fit in with the time period being studied in history. I read aloud one of these novels so that I can have a discussion however that isn’t necessary. You can choose a specific guide if desired. Any Novel Novel Guide is a good choice as well. Watching a movie version of the book after you have finished the book is an excellent essay topic for comparing and contrasting the two. Choose the second novel for your child to read alone.

Brightest Heaven of Invention is a good Shakespeare commentary and study guide. Plays included in this resource Julius Caesar, Henry V, Hamlet, Macbeth, The Taming of the Shrew, Much Ado About Nothing. Choose one with a movie you can also study.
