Title: SEEK GOD

Scripture Text: Hebrews 11:6

INTRODUCTION

The Lord wants us all to seek Him with everything we have and all that we are. Hebrews 11:6 says that we should seek God diligently. Whenever we are doing things for God, we need to do it with all our heart, mind and strength. How do we seek God? We seek God in prayer and fasting with all focus on God. During this time, we are very conscious of not sinning against God and it helps us to hear God's voice. According to Romans 12:1-2, we are a living sacrifice (we carry the Lord's presence everywhere we go). Seek God in everything, don't hold anything back. Whatever God has given you to do, do it with all your heart. When we are gathered in the name of the Lord, He is there and He doesn't show up in half measure, but in full measure. Everything we have, we got it from Him. Whatever we own, we owe it to Him.

Points of Discussion

What do you learn about seeking God?

Ø  Fasting brings us closer to the life that God wants us to live.

Ø  Fasting makes our spirit to come alive, it fights and kills the flesh, it gives our spirit control over our body and we compliment it with prayers.

Ø  Read Acts 13:2-3. Prayer helps us find the will of God. The little time we spent in fasting becomes a lifetime of benefit to us.

Things you need to know…..

Ø  If you want to move forward in life, you have to seek God.

Ø  Instead of calling everybody about your situation, call Heavens first.

Ø  Ask for directions, and He will begin to order your steps, and put things in place for you.

Ø  When a man lifts you up, man will bring you down, but when God lifts you up, no one can bring you down.

CONCLUSION

We need to fear God, in our serving, giving and whatever we do. In everyday day of our life, we need a life that is pleasing unto God. Know that prayer helps you to find the will of God.

While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the workto which I have called them.”3So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on themand sent them off. Acts 13:2-3
