Thank you to the many families that came out to our Open House. We enjoyed seeing everyone and taking the opportunity to share what we have planned for this year in learning. Continue to stay connected with your child’s teacher.
If you are interested in volunteering this year, please be sure to stop by any Wake County Public School to sign up. If you have done this in the past, you must complete the online application again. It is a quick sign up and allows you the many opportunities to volunteer or attend field trips with your child.
There is aninformational meeting for parents about Odyssey of the Mind this Thursday, Sept. 15, at 6 p.m.in the media center. OM is one of the great academic enrichment opportunities supported by the PTA --One of Joyner's OM teams competed in the world championship last year! Signup forms will be available at the meeting. If you cannot attend the meeting but wish to learn more, please email . (or contact Laura Moreschi or Andrew Jones)
Speaking of a PTA supported event, we are so grateful for our strong PTA support that funds many events that we enjoy and look forward to each year. The PTA’s fall No Fuss Fundraiser and membership drive is happening right now. Thank you to all who have already participated in this drive.
Please continue to take care while arriving and leaving our campus. Your active awareness in this is critical. One important reminder this week is when leaving the carpool line, please only turn right in order to maintain the flow of traffic and also not cause an accident.
