Directions: You will be placed in groups of your classmates and given one aspect of Ancient Chinese history to research and present on. These will be either a dynasty or a historical figure. Your presentation can be a Power Point, Prezi, skit, or another form of presentation approved by Mr. McRoberts.

For this project, we will be focusing on the Ancient Chinese topics of:

· Shang Dynasty(pages 507 and 570)

· Zhou Dynasty (pages 508 and 570)

· Qin Dynasty (pages 509 and 571)

· Han Dynasty (pages 510-515 and 571)

· Yuan Dynasty (pages 528-530)

· Ming Dynasty (pages 531-534)

· Confucius (pages 524-527) for this topic, you must include his background, ideas, influence, and how these affected Chinese society and history.

Your presentation must include the following information for each dynasty:

· Approximate Dates

· Leaders

· Government

· Religion

· Daily Life of a Chinese citizen (emperor, warrior, worker, etc.)

· Achievements

You will be given at least 2 days for research and presentation prep and 1 – 2 days for presentations. Each presentation must be at least 5 minutes and requires pictures, props, and participation from each group member. This project will be worth a total of 50 points. You will receive and fill out your Ancient China graphic organizer while listening to other presentations.
