Description: We see a long shot of the media center. Two Students enter taking to each other and looking discouraged and are greeted by the Media Specialist.

Description: A mid range shot of the group. The students explain that they have to find a non-fiction book on people from a past time in History for a report as well as read a fiction book on the same subject to complete the project.

Description: This is a medium shot over the shoulders of the students. The Media Specialist assures them that this will not only be easy, but fun. He asks questions about the report such as what time period or what kind of people they are each interested in.

Description: The two students are now sitting at a table in the MC looking through the books that they have chosen. The shot is from the side over shoulder of boy. He is looking at the book and asking questions about pirate life. As he speaks, the camera zooms into the pages of the book.

Description: Back to a medium shot that shows the MS as a Pirate standing near the boy. He seems to come from the pages of the book and answers the questions posed by the boy. The boy continues to as hold a conversation with the Pirate.

Description: A shot that mirrors shot 9 shows the girl and her book as she wonders aloud what sort of things girls had to endure during the War and if there were any famous women of that time.

Description: Again as in shot 10, the camera goes from a close up on the book out to a medium shot and this time we see the Media Specialist dressed in a hoop skirt and snood (much to his surprise) and the girl converses with “her” in the same way the boy did with the pirate.

Description: This shot is a medium shot of both students at the table talking to each other agreeing that these books were more interesting than they ever imagined. The view pulls back slightly as the Media Specialist returns carrying fiction books to join them. He gives Treasure Island and a diary style book to the boy and Little Women and a diary style book to the girl. He explains the term “Historical Fiction”.

Description: The students leave the Media Center carrying their books.

Description: We see the students returning to the Media Center a week later in a much better mood. They are greeted by the Media Specialist who asks how the project was going. They tell him that they both got A’s and have come back to get another Historical Fiction book.
