President’s Report:

  • Games must be completed and scores must be entered by June 18th.
  • Friday June 23rd will be end of season coaches meeting at Barkhamsted Town Garage. Pizza and drinks will be provided.
  • We need coach commitments by end of the week (Friday March 26). We also need team commitments. Cari will reach out to coaches to encourage them to contact parents.
  • Discussed allowing kids who are interested in trying for next season to attend the last few weeks of trainer practices with age appropriate team as a tryout.
  • Discussed option of allowing interested kids on teams in developmental positions if roster is full. For a lower fee they could attend trainer practices. Interested in coaches feedback on this idea.
  • Expect new team sizes
  • U9 and U10 will be going 7v7 (likely with build out lines)
  • U11 and U12 will be 9v9
  • Max roster size will be 2x that number +2
  • We may need to purchase some new goals but waiting for official sizes and deadline.
  • The ONLY age exception that will be allowed starting in spring will be to allow current 8th graders to play U14 even if they no longer age qualify.
  • Survey monkey request for feedback will be going out to parents.
