Executive Meeting

August 11, 2015

7:00pm

Attendance: Mike Schlachter, Jeremy Gades, Tyler Vollman, Rhonda Yurchyshyn, Goldie Ross, Deanna Klassen, Duane Payeur

1. Mike called the meeting to order at 7:10pm and confirmed quorum.

2. Registration nights will be September 2nd 4-7pm and September 8th 4-7pm

Will run in the paper for three weeks August 18th, 25th and September 1st, Tyler will put on radio, send mass email . 1 name will be drawn the first night for free registration

3. Fall GM September 22/15 @ 7 pm in the Petroleum Room. Run an ad in the paper September 7th and 14th

4. Fees- Tyler makes the motion to increase fees to the following amounts: Initiation $200, Novice $300, Atom $400, Peewee $425, Bantam $450, Midget $550. Jeremy seconded, Carried.

Deadline for payment will stay the same, Bond Cheque will need to be post dated to February 1st, 2016

5. Tickets- $2500.00 cash raffle. $150.00 bond cheque per player to a max of $300.00 Draw will be February 1st

6. Potential Numbers: Initiation 15, Novice 10, Atom and Peewee 18-20, Bantam 12, Midget 10

7. Conditioning Camp- $125.00/player and will be the weekend of September 25-27th, 2015

Power Skating $125.00/player with 8 sessions. It will be open first to SRMHA registered players then to surrounding area minor hockey players. It will run Wednesday evenings from

October 14th -December 9th with no class on November 11th. Times to follow

8. Ref Clinic- date to be confirmed

9. Ref Coordinator is still in the works

10. Specialty Clinics: Goalie/Checking/Shooting. Jeremy will look into this

11. Equipment: Mike will get a hold of Warren Day and they will look at everything

12. Commissioner: Spirit River is required to submit a commissioner for the Peewee level to the All Peace League. They will act as a go between between coaches and the president, they are responsible for all game sheet submissions and any actions required from them(suspensions) A person with a good knowledge of league hockey is preferred. Deanna will email this out asap as we need someone by September 20th. There are incentives with this position. Mike will be the contact person.

13. Hockey Alberta Boundary: they will not allow the grey area with an one time option, proposed boundary right now 4 miles west of Eaglesham (Codesa Road). Mike will talk to Paul again to get Rycroft more involved and try to get the boundary pushed to 4 miles east of Eaglesham as that is approximately half way and where there is already a split as most people from Eaglesham come to Rycroft/Spirit River

14. All Peace and Hockey Alberta Meetings September 20th in Spirit River

15. Tiering meeting is October 1th.

16. Scheduling Meeting is October 24th
