Minutes from TC’s held on March 8 and 18

Attendees: Sanjay, Jigar, Anand and Anita

  • The TEP budget was discussed and in principal approved.
  • Additional information has been requested from Joy - post meeting Anita had a chat with Joy and informed him about the follow-up on certain items from the discussion. He indicated that from his point of view, if we really have some extra funds from one time donors, he would like us to consider the school uniforms for children since they have been using the same uniform for ~3 yrs. He will come back with the budget - this may be a good item that could utilize funds generated by Stamford cricket club. He also has an opinion on the suggestions for improvement by Vallabh Bhai and Biju and he will explain that to us.

March 18, 2014:

Attendees: Sanjay, Anand, Jigar, Joy and Anita

• The proposal for funding the uniforms was agreed on. Joy was asked to explore the possibility for getting uniforms now and sweaters a little later to see if there are cheaper options for the sweaters.

• Salary increase for all staff members by 20% was approved.

• A sum of Rs 6000 will be added to the budget for purchase of dictionary and some books.

Additional note regarding budget:

A sum of 30,000 INR will be added to the budget to cover the cost of the site visit trip made by Vallabh Bhai from Asha Kashi and Biju from Asha Assam. They had visited the school in Oct 2013. They were asked to use the funds from last year and the amount will now be included in this years budget to offset that cost.
