Seven River Miles from WaterWorks Park in Holly to Strom Park in Fenton
Schedule:Location:
11:00 am On-site registration beginsWaterWorks Building, 690 S. Broad Street
12:00-2:00 Pleasure paddle beginsRegister first then Start on Shiawassee River
Sweep boat departs Water Works Park at 2 pm6:00 pm Final river sweep completed
All Day Invitation to visit area businesses, attractions and restaurants. On-site availability of
water and portable toilets at Water Works Park. Additional Off site parking at Crapo Park.
Limited supply of canoe and kayak rentals. Call 248-685-2379 to reserve one in
advance with Heavner's Canoe Rental.
1 – 6 pm Continuous transport of participants and craft from end point at Strom Park in Fenton
back to WaterWorks Park in Holly
We ask that people participating in this event become members. This event is to support the people who take care of the river and make it possible to canoe or kayak all summer long. Without our work, the river would be blocked with trees and full of trash. We are also looking to collect match money so that we can apply for grants to build a takeout at Fish Lake Road. We have already acquired the property but the required accessible structure with parking is estimated to cost $80,000.00.

You can also volunteer by showing up at the meetings of Headwaters Trails, the first Wednesday of every month, 7 pm, at the Holly Village Council Chambers attached to the Holly Police Station on Broad Street in Holly.
