MAIN SUMMARY OF ROLE
To develop and manage high value corporate partnerships that will benefit the workof the RAFBF financially and strategically. To achieve this by leading on the delivery of a corporate networking strategy; overseeing the corporate relationships of other RAFBF staff members and personally generating income through multi-faceted and long term partnerships with corporate supporters.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead on implementing and developing the RAFBF’s corporate partnerships strategy.
  • Devise, implement and monitor an overall RAFBF corporate fundraising activity plan in order to deliver realistic income and expenditure targets agreed annually.
  • Guide and supportthe Senior Management Team, Trustees and other RAFBF staff in their development and management of their corporate fundraising relationships within the overall plan.
  • Provide first-class account management of existing corporate relationshipsassigned to you, delivering on both sides’ priorities and expectations throughout the partnership.
  • Work with the regional community fundraisers and other relevant RAFBF staff to ensure objectives for the partnerships are met – included but not limited to the organisation of corporate volunteering placements , collections etc.
  • Work with the corporate and the RAFBF’s comms teams to promote key successes internally and externally.
  • Prepare the detail of any necessary contracts and adhere to charity law and tax/VAT regulations as required.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations for potential new corporate partners.
  • Monitor and evaluate the success of all the RAFBF’s corporate relationships (and associated fundraising activities) in order to produce a monthly activity report, including progress against financial targetsand partnership objectives.
  • Ensure the effective management of corporate supporters’ information and data on CARE.
Other
  • Keep up to date with developments within the voluntary and corporate sectors through relevant publications, websites, training events, conferences and networking, as agreed with the Head of Regional Fundraising.
  • Ensure implementation of and adherence to all relevant RAFBF policies and procedures.
  • Such other duties as may reasonably be required.

QUALIFICATION(S),KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
4. Academic/Professional Qualification(s) or equivalent:
Essential / Desirable
Literate and numerate, with good standard of education (to degreelevel or equivalent). / Certificate in Fundraising (staff not in possession of the certificate will be offered the opportunity to achieve it).
5. Knowledge/ Experience:
Essential / Desirable
  • Demonstrable experience of managing £100k plus corporate fundraising relationships within the UK voluntary sector.
  • Knowledge of the UK corporate sector.
  • Budgeting and financial understanding, including experience of monitoringincome and expenditure.
  • Experience of managing complex projects and organising high profile and complex events.
  • Knowledge of fundraising practice and standards, including data protection, Charity trading law and Charities Act 1992 and 1993.

  • Computer and IT literate, including familiarity with MS Office and fundraising databases.
  • Experience of managing volunteers.

Other Requirements:

Risk Management

The Trustees of the Fund have adopted a policy of risk management which accords with Charity Commission requirements. Risk management is the responsibility of each member of staff. Suggestions that might assist the Fund in meeting its objectives in a pragmatic and cost-effective way should be directed to your line manager or the Fund’s Risk Review Co-ordinator.

Conflict of Interests

You may not, without the consent of the Fund, engage in any outside employment. In accordance with the Staff Handbook, you must declare to your line manager any private interest or voluntary/public duties which could potentially result in personal gain as a consequence of your employment with the Fund. Interests that might appear to be in conflict should also be declared.

Place of Work

You may be required to work on the Fund’s alternative sites from time to time.
