We were pleased to hear of your interest in becoming a sponsor for the Clements High School Marching Band and Color Guard, through our Booster Club. As you know, we have a very successful program here that benefits greatly from the support of community partners like yourself.
This past year alone was very productive, with
-Selection as finalist of the highly competitive Sam Houston State Marching Competition
-Twenty-eighth year receiving a Division 1 UIL marching award
-Our highest national ranking for our Color Guard, after being the Texas state UIL finalist
-Seventh straight year with all three bands earning top ratings during the UIL concert season, and the first time in FBISD history where all three bands won Sweepstakes awards
-Continuing our success in sending the most musicians to Area UIL Solo competition, last year the band had 50 + students receiving All-State Honors
among many other successes in the music arena.
As a sponsor of the booster club, contributions help support the purchase of everything from clinics to new instruments in the fieldand the concert hall. Last year fundraising effortscentered on a trailer sufficient to handle all of our marching equipment that travels with us, from timpani drums to uniforms (for 300) to conducting towers for our drum majors. This year we are looking to complete upgrades on that very trailer and our pit crew trailer, holding all of our pit crew equipment used on the road.We very much are in need of new instruments for the playing field and concert instruments, as many are in disrepair.
As you know, the State has made a drastic reduction in funding. Therefore, your contribution means more than ever to these dedicated, hard working students.
