Group Assignment

Group Meeting day: ______ (you can meet in the classroom or on your own)

Presentation day: ______

Each group will consist of 2 to 5 people; no more than this is allowed.

You will be responsible for finding your group member(s); meeting with them, and communicating with them interpersonally to complete the assignment. Exchange email addresses and phone numbers so you can get in contact with each other.

You will be required to choose a concept as a group from anything in Chapters 1-12.

You will then present or teach your concept to the class in a 10 – 15 minute presentation.

Use your imagination: You can use video, discussion, handouts; overhead, PowerPoint or whatever you feel is creative and interesting.

You will be responsible for then conducting a professional, interesting, thought-provoking, and enjoyable mini class session. Your presentation will be graded on creativity, the quality of the information presented (breadth of research and connection to communication) as well as the style of your presentation. All group members must participate in the oral presentation.

You are responsible for turning in to me on the day of the presentation an outline of your presentation.

After you have given your presentation you and your partner(s) will be responsible for turning in an evaluation of one another to me. The evaluation will be half a page to a page explaining how the experience went.

There are no strict guidelines on this so use your creativity and go for it!!
