Talent Match Coaches.

Groundwork are seeking to recruit an experienced individual with relevant experience within the enterprise development and /or youth development sectors , to engage and work with young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET’s) as part of the Talent Match programme in South Yorkshire and Sheffield City Region .

Successful candidates will havehad successful experience of providing business support, preferably within the social economy,and possess a strong empathy with the target group

Contract Period: Two Years initially but may be extended subject to funding

Salary:ranging from £21,000 to £24.000 per annum (dependant on qualifications and experience)

Location:post will be hosted by Groundwork and based at the Elsecar Heritage Centre and at President Park Sheffield

DBS: all posts will be offered subject to a successful DBS check and a probationary period of 3 Months.

Role: The Coach will implement an enterprise development plan for a caseload of clients referred to them by *Talent Match coaches

Training: Each coach will be required to participate in Outcome Start training which will be provided free of charge as part of this programme.

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of eligible beneficiaries in conjunction with colleagues from the Prince’sTrust.
  • Liaise with Talent Match Coaches and Local coordinators to ensure the delivery of individual development plans.
  • Actively promote enterprise as a pathway
  • Build the trust of young people, enabling them to develop business ideas for enterprise and training.
  • Work cooperatively as part of the wider TM team to provide effective support for clients.
  • Develop and deliver innovative and effective enterprise business support programmes including business diagnostic ,the development of business plans , incorporation of businesses and post incorporation support
  • Access other support for clients including specialist finance and /or marketing support and access to finance.
  • Sign post clients to other enterprise support mechanisms available in SCR at borough level.
  • To ensure that outcome targets are met and that regular progress reports are produced.
  • To participate in contract monitoring arrangements.

* Talent Match coaching role will include initial recruitment development and on going support throughout the programme for all Talent Match Clients

Job Description and Person Specification

Job Title:Talent Match Enterprise Coach

Purpose of Job:To engage and work with young people on the TM programme to develop Social Enterprises and Social businesses

Responsible to:Project Manager

Main Duties:

  • Work in with Groundwork Enterprise Team and Colleagues from the Prince’s Trust to develop and deliver a programme of enterprise support for TM Clients across the Sheffield City Region.
  • Raise awareness regarding the enterprise development opportunities and the support available for the client group including support provided by partners, including colleagues from the prince’s Trust and Groundwork.
  • Conduct Initial business development assessments with all clients to determine individual needs regarding enterprise /business development.
  • Enable clients to determine appropriatepathways to enterprise and/ or training and sign post accordingly, including those clients seeking to become self employed to the Prince’s Trust.
  • Collate, update and produce information on local opportunities for enterprise development.
  • Offer a range of specialist support to beneficiaries, such as supported use of ICT facilities, to enable them to identify and take up opportunities.
  • Refer clients to other agencies, learning and training providers or specialist organisations, and advocating on their behalf where necessary.
  • Undertake outreach work.
  • Attend networking events to promote the service and engage with partners
  • Ensure that outcome targets are met and participate in contract monitoring arrangements.
  • Develop and maintain a network of contacts with other providers of information, advice, guidance, training and education.
  • Undertake administrative tasks such as setting up and maintaining client records, completing “Outcome Stars” evaluations, recording statistical data and producing management reports.
  • Act as part of the wider team, promoting the aims and objectives of Talent Match.
  • Undertake all duties in compliance with Hosts policies on equal opportunities and all other relevant guidelines of good practice and statutory requirements.
  • Operate within the guidelines of the Host organisation.

Salary:£ TBA but in the range £21- 23,000

Hours:37 hours per week to include evening and weekend work as and when required.
