You will be reading The Green Book at your own pace. I have 25 copies, so reading will need to be completed in class. Once you are done with reading, class time and homework time will be used to complete the assignments listed below. Due dates will be set for certain assignments as progress checks, so that you may pace yourself and decide when homework time is necessary. Your work will be compiled in a Noteshare Notebook.
The page titles (or tabs) for your notebook are 1 – 10 below. The vocabulary must be defined, and then it is your choice what you add to this page. The other sections should include your thoughts and reactions to the book with regards to these topics. You can journal as you read. (In your Noteshare notebook.) You can illustrate and have them scanned and dropped onto your page. (This is optional) You can also use the draw program. You are not limited to one page per section. I have added this for those who like to add visuals to their work to make their points!
1. Title Page should include your name, class, book title and author. Anything else you add is up to you.
2. Vocabulary: I have included the pages so that you can be sure to use the correct context. ( List and page numbers are on the back of this challenge.)
3. What is life? Needs and Characteristics of Living Organisms? (Remember I don’t want you to define these topics but relate them to the reading.)
4. Biodiversity? (Same as above.)
5. Compare / Contrast Planet Earth and Planet Shine?
6. What book would you take and why? (You will understand this as you read.)
7. I need an image of the moth-people and their mating dance?
8. World Disaster Connection?
9. There Aren’t Any Birds (Page46) Type the entire verse and explain the significance of the children’s play.
