The Graduate Internship Scheme is collaboration between the University of Sunderland, a recent Graduate and a regional SME. The Scheme has been designed to benefit both the Graduate and the company, ensuring that the Graduate takes the first steps on the career ladder whilst the company benefits from the Graduates enthusiasm, expertise and up to date knowledge.

The Internship is a full time position, for a 12 month fixed term period, based at Northumbria Energy Ltd

in Wallsend.

The Organisation:

Northumbria Energy is the UK based company which has been granted the exclusive rights by Energy Assets PLC to licence and commercially exploit the Z-LYNK technology in Africa. Northumbria Energy wish to support the creation of or partner with a Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment business in South Africa, with a view to establishing a long term relationship which will include the potential to manufacture the Z-LYNK equipment for sale and distribution throughout Africa.

The Role:

Northumbria Energy is a business based in Newcastle upon Tyne offering services to the energy industry, including:

  • Smart meter installation
  • Training of smart meter engineers
  • Consultancy on metering and grid control installations (primarily in South Africa)

We are looking for a highly motivated graduate to join our small team in the role of “Project Co-ordinator”
