Resources are sent as electronic files (mostly pdf, doc, jpg). They should be done in the order listed.

A set of all the resources can be ordered at the special price of $49.

There are no “right” and “wrong” answers to questions 1, 2 and 3 of the paper. However there are examples of the sort of response examiners are looking for.

Included in the course are topics (particularly related to history and style) not covered in the Royal Schools grade 6 workbook which students need to know for questions 4 and 5 in the examination.

If you later find you would like to be able to ask questions about any or all of the material, and/or send in some or all assignments for comment, pleasecontact us to be quoted a price.

All sections have examination-type assignments. When you have finished these, you may wish to work one or more past papers. ABRSM do not provide sample papers on their website, but printed past papers can be purchased from Piano Traders in Auckland or ABRSM in the United Kingdom. If you would like more detailed comments, including explanations of why some answers were wrong, and suggestions as to how you can improve your answers, you can send in answers to exam questions from papers from 2012 onwards for comment. The fee is $16 per question, or $65 for a whole paper (5 questions).
