Good Example: What Is the Major Religion in India?

LEARNING GOALS FOLDER

Think of two learning goals for this year. Once you have decided on the two goals, label one side of the folder with one goal and draw a picture that represents that goal. Do the same thing to the other side of your folder for your second goal.

Requirements

1. Your goals should be ones you can easily show what you’ve learned.

Good example: What is the major religion in India?

Not a good example: I want to learn the French language; this would,

obviously, be too complicated. However, your goal could be to learn 5

French words

2. You goals need to be on the eastern hemisphere

3. The goals are NOT answered by a “yes” or a “no.”

4. There are two pictures that represent the goals, one goal and picture on each side.

The Folder’s Appearance

1. The goals should be neatly and clearly written - one goal on each side of the

folder.

2. Your first and last name should be on the tab of the folder.

3. Your folder should be colorful.

Then:

Write your goals in your social studies notebook. Look at them from time to time. Research them as soon as possible and write the answers on your learning goals folder that will be kept in our classroom. Near the end of school, you will be given a test on your own learning goals and “Guess what?” you can use your learning goals folder! How easy is that? So, get your folder completed, plan ahead, and get an easy A! :)

Also:

Your folders are kept in the classroom as a storage folder for your papers. This way, you will have a storage place, and you will see your goals every time you take out your folder. This should remind you of that goal! :)
