‘God’s Power, the Spiritual Reservoir’Part 2

(Relationship with God)

We will study:

1.Relationship with God

2.All things are Possible

Scripture Reading:

John 15:4-10, NKJV

  1. Remain connected through prayer
  2. Interact with God’s Word through reading, meditating, and hearing
  3. Have communion with the Holy Spirit

A.A strong relationship with God enables us to have the fortitude and resilience to last the attacks of our adversaries. We must stand strong and learn contentment.

Philippians 4:11-13, NIV

  • Pressure is applied by the forces of darkness to attack the following:

1.Our ‘will’ to strive relentlessly

2.Our faith to conquer our inner doubts, insecurities, and frustrations

3.Our mind to blind us from any spiritual insight and to prevent revelation knowledge that comes from God

  • Distractions are used as a form of attack for the following reasons:

1.To distort or alter God’s purpose in our lives

2.To infiltrate the hearts and minds of believers with doubt and lack of trust

3.To stop the spiritual flow of the anointing for deliverance

4.To cause many to lose hope

1.Relationship is the foundation in which God’s reservoir of power is available for us.

Colossians 1:9-10, KJV

2.Knowledge in Christ Jesus has to be sought after as we have a hunger and a thirst to obtain spiritual wisdom.

Hebrews 11:6, AMP

  • ‘Diligently seek’ is translated as ‘search out’, it is to investigate, crave for and demand the knowledge of Him.
  • To crave for knowledge in God is to have a pursuit which consecrates our spirit and soul to be ratified into complete submission to God’s ‘will’ as we are strengthened with His power.

1 Peter 2:2, AMP

3. Knowledge in God is an endless resource of insightful wisdom to discredit the knowledge which leads to any mental and spiritual strongholds.

2 Corinthians 10:5, KJV, Ephesians 4:13-14, KJV

B.All things are possible if we seek God as our only source. Whatever is absent by sight can never equate to the resourcefulness of God and His endless power.

2 Chronicles 26:3-7, NIV

1.The knowledge of God’s ability to do what He says removes all boundaries or limitations of our faith and expectations.

Luke 1:37, NIV, Matthew 19:26,NIV

2.Seeking the knowledge of God is where the unseen or unknown become possible. The knowledge of God (faith in God) releases the power of God in us at command.

Mark 11:22-23, NIV

3.God’s Word will cultivate our heart to produce faith and confidence to believe that all things are possible.

John 6:55-58, AMP

Conclusion:

God’s power in us is a spiritual reservoir which begins with relationship. If we are united with Him through prayer, the study of His Word, and fellowship with the Holy Spirit, anything is possible.
