Clay Handbuilt Mugs or Cups
Students will learn how to change a lump of clay into a beautiful mugor cup. A design can be scratched into the clay or students will learn how to “score and slip” a design onto the vessel. (Relates to Brownie Potter Badge)
Self Portrait Paintings
Girl Scouts will also learn about famous female artists who are known for their self-portraits. Students will also learn how to study the human face and modify painted facial features to resemble themselves. (Relates to Brownie Painting Badge)
Fashion Drawings in Mixed Media
Girl Scouts will use unconventional materials (flower petals, collaged paper, and found objects) along with traditional watercolors and colored pencils to create their own fashion drawings. This workshop draws inspiration from imagination and nature. (Relates to Brownie Painting Badge or Collage Badge for Junior Girl Scouts)
Turn Everyday Objects into Jewelry
Girl Scouts will use everyday objects and basic jewelry assembling techniques to create something unique and stylish. Students do not need expensive gemstones to make great jewelry, they can simply look around and find what they need to think outside of the box for a handmade fashion statement. (Relates to Jeweler Badge for Junior Girl scouts)
