Looking at bib records

Check the CAT DATE to see when the record was added. Anything that’s 1994 was when we first started using III, probably batch loaded from the old system. There shouldn’t be anything before 1994 because of this.

Last Updated date can indicate changes made to the record in various ways.

Much of the OCLC Fixed Field information goes to the MARC 008 field in TIGER.

We add a special 949 field to OCLC records before downloading to specify certain values in the TIGER bib record, including location and BCODE3.
