“Geographic Information System (GIS)Services for ILES Project”
General:
These servicesare part of the WWF-Pakistan’ project entitled ‘International Labor and Environmental Standards Application in Pakistan’, funded by European Union, and implemented in collaboration with International Labour Organization (ILO). The objective of the project is to promote sustainable and inclusive growth in Pakistan by supporting economic integration of Pakistan into the global and regional economy by improving compliance with labour and environmental standards and increased competitiveness.
Objective:
The main objective for the GIS services is to map the water pollution hotspots in industrial areas of Lahore, Karachi, Faisalabad and Sialkot along with remote sensing of air pollutants in these areas.
Scope of the Services:
The Consultant will be required to;
a)Mapping of Major industrial estates in Lahore, Karachi, Faisalabad and Sialkot
b)Mapping of wastewater drainage system of Lahore, Karachi, Faisalabad and Sialkot
c)Remote Sensing of NO2, CO, Formaldehyde and Aerosols in 05 Major Industrial Estates at Project sites on monthly basis using satellite observations
d)Supply chain mapping of local brands in Pakistan
e)Supply chain mapping of textile and leather recycling in Pakistan
f)To develop population density maps in the area
g)To map ground water level (Depends upon the availability of ground data)
Deliverables:
- Maps of industrial estates in Lahore, Karachi, Faisalabad and Sialkot
- Maps of Wastewater drainage Network in Lahore, Karachi, Sialkot and Faisalabad
- Remote Sensing Data and visual interpretation of Air Pollutants in 05 Major Industrial Estates
- Maps of Supply Chain for a particular textile and leather article
- Maps of supply chain of local brands
- Maps of textile and leather recycling in the country
- Population density Maps
- Ground water level maps
Time Frame
The consultant will provide GIS services to ILES project from 15thFebruary 2018 to 30thNovember 2018.
Eligibility Criteria for the Consultant:
The Consultant / Firm must have 10 years’ experience of working in the field of GIS with access to satellite data and logistics required to carry out the assignment.
