General Membership Meeting

Board Members Present: Chris Williams, April Crawford, Bill Luffey, Bob Parsons, Dana Maule, Doug Sleva, Jim Gryck, Amber Torreance, Rena Wollmann, Aaron Bates, Dave Maurer, John McGowan, and Dave Karabinos.
Absent: Ed Baumgartner, Dave Docchio, Holly Jadlocki,
Chris Williams called the meeting to order @ 8:17 pm.
In attendance who signed in (15): Chris Williams, April Crawford, Bill Luffey, Bob Parsons, Dana Maule, Doug Sleva, Jim Gryck, Amber Torreance, Rena Wollmann, Aaron Bates, Dave Maurer, John McGowan, Dave Karabinos, Shirl Hoak, and Nicole McGowan.
President Chris Williams motioned to accept the minutes from the August 27, 2014 meeting. Dave Maurer motioned and Dave Karabinos second with one correction: It was a DEPOSIT not a fee of $500.00 for the Spirit Tent Credit Card machine start up.

Dance (Dana Maule)
· MCAA Dance is planning on participating in the Moon High School Homecoming Parade on Thursday, Sept. 18th.
Programs (Holly Jadlocki)
· Holly is currently finalizing the programs.
· Programs are scheduled to be available for purchase on Sunday, 9/14/2014
· We have received 111 ‘Shout Outs’ for a total of $1,110.00 in revenue for the program
· We have received $1,750.00 in advertisements for the program
· Holly would like to sell the programs at the ‘Concession Table’
Fields (Ed Baumgartner)
· Not in Attendance
Football (Doug Sleva)
· All games will move up to 15 minutes earlier than originally scheduled for Sunday, 9/14/2014 and 30 minutes earlier for Sunday, 9/21/2014. Moon High School Girls Soccer needs the field by 7:00 pm.
· Moon is scheduled to host the 1st and 2nd round of the PYFL Playoffs in October.
· For the PYFL, early weigh ins can take place at ‘Halftime’ only of any game during the day
· As per League rules, 9U JV teams should be utilizing the kickoff/kickoff return special teams … There was some confusion, and for now, this will be a ‘dual coaches’ decision
Communications (Dave Maurer)

Equipment (John McGowan)
· Not in Attendance
Special Events (Rena Wollmann)
· The MCAA Homecoming Dance is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 13th.
o Twerps & Termites will go early & Mitey Mites and Seniors will go later.
o MCAA Board should report by 6:00 pm to chaperone
· MCAA Youth Night at the Moon HS football game is Friday, Sept. 19th.
· MCAA Senior Recognition will be held on Sunday, Oct. 19th.
· The MCAA Senior Banquet will be held on Dec. 5th, 2014 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Moon Township.

· The Banquet for Mitey-Mites and below will be held on Nov. 23rd, 2014 at Lattitude 360 at the Point in North Fayette.
Cheer (Amber Torreance)
· MCAA Cheer is planning on participating in the Moon High School Homecoming Parade on Thursday, Sept. 18th
· Monday, Sept. 15th will begin the practice for the Cheer participation in the MCAA Youth Night Dances
Concessions (April Crawford)
· Nothing to report.
Chris Williams asked if there was any old business:
· Moon HS Athletic Director, Ricci Rich is planning with MASD Operations to pull fencing and begin constructing the storage shed.
Chris Williams asked if there was any new business:
· The ‘Spirit Tent’ has been requested for two (2) High School Varsity football games.
· 28 Decals have been sold for MCAA revenue
· The question was posed to find out if ALL JV players need to stay for the Varsity games – it was decided that the Varsity Head Coach would have final say on which players needed to stay for the Varsity Game.
