CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

& HANDICAP LIMIT: Open to any woman Amateur who is a full member of a Golf Club affiliated to a Union recognized by the WGSA and who at the time of submitting this entry shall have a handicap of 18or less, recognised in terms of the S.A.G.A. course rating and Handicapping System. All handicaps must be certified by the Secretary of your club.

ENTRY FEE:R600.00which is payable in advance. The entry form is also obtainable from the GNGU and WGSA websites, Club Managers offices or from the GNGU office No cash will be accepted at the course.Bank deposits and EFT’s can be made to GNGU,NEDBANK, WOODLANDS BRANCH, Branch code: 19876500, Account No: 1363001124Proof of payment is to be attached with the entry form and faxed to (012 6671252 or mailed to ).Entry fees will only be refunded in the case of a withdrawal before the closing date.Ref on the EFT ordeposit slip is: Your name / Women’s Open .

CLOSING DATE:Noon onFriday 27 June 2014.

FORM OF COMPETITION:Stroke Play:This competition will be played in 2 Divisions (A: below 9 and B: 10-18 handicaps) over 54 holes. 36 Holes played on Sunday and 18 played on MondayThe handicap of the player as at1July 2014 will be the official handicap for the tournament.

Match Play:At the end of the third round a maximum of 16 players in each division, A (below 9 handicap) and B (10 – 18 handicap)will proceed to the matchplay event.

DRAW AND STARTING:The draw will be conducted by GNGU and will be placed on thewebsite Players will receive their tee off times via SMS.

TIME:Any competitor who is absent from the tee when called upon to start will be disqualified or penalised under Rule 6.3.
Disciplinary action may be taken against any non arrivals.

If a player qualifies and has indicated they are available for Matchplay and fails to play, disciplinary action will be taken against such a player.

CADDIES:No outside caddies will be permitted.

DRESS CODE:Players must conform to the dress regulations stipulated by WGSA Soft spikes only.

PRIZE GIVING:Attendance at prize giving is compulsory.Both for Stroke Play on 7 July Match Play on 9 July 2014.

DECISIONS & DISPUTES:The Tournament Committee appointed by the GNGU will deal with decisions and disputes of any kind.

EXEMPTION OF LIABILITY CLAUSE

The Union and its management will not be held responsible for any damages, loss, including personal loss and or other forms of loss, harm or injury sustained as stipulated below:

The Union will not be held liable for any of the following:

1.1Physical and\or emotional injuries suffered during the tournament\championship, due to any acts of God, suffered as a direct result thereof, including aspects such as being struck by lightning, etc.

1.2.Physical injuries of any kind suffered by any person, including a player or spectator sustained by own negligence, or otherwise.

1.3. Emotional injuries sustained due to any loss, including death, suffered as a result of any of the above injuries sustained personally or by spectator.

1.4. Damages suffered to any property of a player.

The player acknowledges the exemption of liability of the Union and its management as listed above when he/she signs the acknowledgement and also acknowledges the contents of the above, understands it, and exempts the Union from any liability as indicated above.The Union does not warrant or guarantee the safety of any person.
