Dr. RehamAljasserBDS, MSc, AB, graduated from King Saud University/ School of Dental Medicine, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia with a Bachelor Degree in Dental Surgery (BDS) on July 2010. Followed by going working as a faculty in Periodontics Department King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for one year before joining the postgraduate Periodontics program at SUNY at Buffalo/ School of Dental Medicine on August 2011.During the three years Periodontics program she was also working on her Masters in Oral Sciences, which was earned along with a certificate in Periodontics on June 2014.Currently Dr.Aljasseris an implant fellow with the Department of Restorative Dentistry, School of Dental Medicine, SUNY at Buffalo and is also involved in teaching the pre-doc students the fabrication of implant radiographic and surgical guides. Lastly, Dr. Aljasser isaDiplomateof the American Academy of Periodontology, A recognized specialty of the American Dental Association.

Dr. HaniaAlKudmani BDS, MSc, graduated from King Saud University/ School of Dental Medicine, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia with a Bachelor Degree in Dental Surgery (BDS) on July 2010. Followed by going into general practice in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for 2 years before joining the postgraduate Periodontics program at SUNY at Buffalo/ School of Dental Medicine on August 2012. During the three years Periodontics program she was also working on her Masters in Oral Sciences, which was earned along with a certificate in Periodontics on September 2015, with a thesis title “Optimizing nano calcium sulfate with alginate and fibrinogen for improved cellular proliferation, differentiation, and release of growth factors”. Currently Dr. AlKudmani is an implant fellow with the Department of Restorative Dentistry, School of Dental Medicine, SUNY at Buffalo and is also involved in teaching the pre-doc students the fabrication of implant radiographic and surgical guides. Lastly, Dr. AlKudmani is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology, A recognized specialty of the American Dental Association.

Dr. Gary Alexander, Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Restorative Dentistry. Dr. Gary J. Alexander was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. After graduating form Kenmore West Senior High School he attended Canisius College and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology. He received his D.D.S. degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 1981. He then completed its postgraduate program in prosthodontics and received a Certificate of Proficiency in Fixed Prosthodontics in 1983.

Dr. Alexander is a member of the American College of Prosthodontics, the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, the American Dental Society, the Eighth District Dental Society, and the Erie County Dental Society. He is a past president of the International Dental Study Club and the Fonzi Dental Study Club, and has been involved with the Western New York Dental Implant Study Club and the Southtowns Dental Study Club.

SebastianoAndreana, DDS, MS is director of Implant Dentistry and associate professor, Department of Restorative Dentistry, at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Andreana has held managerial positions in worldwide pharmaceutical and dental companies. Presently he is on the faculty at the AAID Toronto Maxi Course and co-director of the UBSDM Implant Study Club. He has served as president of the American Association of Dental Research, Buffalo Chapter. He is a reviewer for the Journal of Periodontology, Journal of the American Dental Association, Clinical Implant Dentistry Related Research, and Lasers in Medicine and Surgery. He is also senior associate editor of Journal of Oral Implantology. Dr. Andreana has published over 100 articles, both nationally and internationally, and presented over 100 research abstracts.

Praveen R Arany, DDS, PhD Assistant Professor is trained as a dentist and oral pathologist. He completed a joint PhD-Residency program at Harvard University as a Harvard Presidential Scholar. He has two certificates in clinical translational research from Harvard Medical School and National Institute of Health. He pursued postdoctoral fellowships at Indian Institute of Sciences, Bangalore; National Cancer Institute, Bethesda and Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences & Wyss Institute, Cambridge. Following his training, he was an Assistant Clinical Investigator at National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research, National Institutes of Health, Bethesda. He is currently an Assistant Professor, Oral Biology, School of Dental Medicine, University at Buffalo, New York.

He is an active member and serves in various committees of the Wound Healing Society (WHS) and American Association for Dental Research (AADR), Academy of Laser Dentistry (ALD), American Society of Lasers in Medicine (ASLMS), among others. Dr. Arany holds several leadership positions, he is the current President (2014-2016) of North American Association for Photobiomodulation Therapy (NAALT), Chair of Lasers in Dentistry track at ASLMS and Co-Chair of the International Society of Optics and Photonics (SPIE) conference on Mechanisms of Photobiomodulation therapy.

Dr. Latifa R Bairam, DDS, MS is a Clinical Assistance Professor of Prosthodontics and is a full time faculty at the Department of Restorative Dentistry, School of Dental Medicine, SUNY at Buffalo . She received her DDS from college of Dentistry Baghdad University; Certificate of Proficiency in Advanced Education in prosthodontics and MS in oral Sciences from School of Dental Medicine, University at Buffalo. She also received a Certificate of Residency in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics from Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo New York. She is a member of many professional organizations such as the American College of Prosthodontics ACP, American Dental Association ADA, Eight District Dental Society and Dental Society of State of New York.

She is a clinic group leader, contributes to teaching preclinical and clinical courses mentoring disciplines of fixed, removable and implant dentistry. She has also participated in teaching in the International Dental Program directing the Partial Removable Prosthodontics course. She has mentored many predoctoral and MS research programs.

Joseph Kerr, Associate Dean for Administration, MBA, PMP, School of Dental Medicine, University at Buffalo. Mr. Kerr was appointed Associate Dean for Administration in 2010 after 23 years of experience at UB in a variety of technology and administrative leadership roles. As Assistant Vice President of Technology, University Business Services, he led the campus wide business intelligence initiative (SIRI) that delivered an all funds / all people analytic and reporting tool to campus leadership and support staff. He was a member of the UB School of Management Adjunct Faculty for 20 years teaching under-graduate and graduate courses and received his MBA in Accounting and Management Information Systems from the School. He earned his CPA while at Ernst and Young. As Associate Dean for Administration Mr. Kerr is responsible for finance, human resources, marketing, continuing education, clinic business operations, facilities, and operations. Mr. Kerr is also co-Course Director and instructor for a 4th year Healthcare Practice Management course in the School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Jennifer Kuracina, Clinical Assistant Professor, Restorative Dentistry Dr. Kuracina received a BS degree at St. Bonaventure University and is a graduate of the SUNY at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. She completed a general practice residency at Millard Fillmore Hospital, and received her certificate in combined prosthodontics at the SUNY Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Kuracina is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at that institution, where she teaches in a number of courses in prosthodontics and implant dentistry for dental students and residents in the Postgraduate Program in Prosthodontics. She has provided continuing education courses to dentists on a number of topics in restorative dentistry.

Dr. Kuracina is a member of the Eighth District Dental Society, the Dental Society of the State of New York, the American Dental Association, the American College of Prosthodontists, the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, and is a founder of the Southtowns Dental Study Club.

Dr. LataShenoy, Clinical Assistant Professor, Restorative Dentistry

Dr. Shenoy received her B.D.S diploma from Nair Hospital Dental College located in Mumbai India. Upon arrival in USA, she enrolled in SDM at SUNY Buffalo International Program. She received her D.D.S certificate. She joined U.B Operative Dentistry Department as Clinical Instructor. Two years later she was accepted in UB Postgrad Pros. Program which she successfully completed. She then had a solo practice in Orchard Park NY for 21 years. Through all those years she stayed as a part time faculty. Next year she will be finishing 40 years as a faculty member. Currently she is a group director in the clinic and serves as Director of International program.

Dr. Rod Stewart DDS, Director: Ti-Max AAID Implant Maxicourse Director: Ti-Max Institute for Continuing Dental Education Diplomate: American Board of Oral Implantology Fellow: American Academy of Implant Dentistry.A 1983 graduate of the University of Toronto, he maintains a general dental practice in Hamilton, Ontario with a focus on advanced dental reconstructive treatment.

He is a member of the AAID Maxicourse Committee and Admissions & Credentialing Board, a former Trustee of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, former Councillor of the Ontario Dental Association, District Officer of the AAID and a part time clinical instructor at the University of Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine, AEGD Program.

Dr. Joseph Zambon, Dean and Distinguished Teaching Professor, Periodontics and Endodontics; Professor, Oral BiologySUNY Distinguished Teaching Professor of Periodontics and Endodontics, Joseph J. Zambon, DDS, PhD, has been named Dean of the School of Dental Medicine, June 2016. Professor Zambon has been a UB faculty member in the School of Dental Medicine since 1982. He currently serves as Associate Dean for Advanced Education and Faculty Advancement and previously served as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, from 1995-2014.

A nationally and internationally-recognized authority on periodontal pathogens and an experienced clinician, Professor Zambon is a prolific and well-funded researcher whose contributions have been recognized by numerous awards and honors.

Mr. John Balikowski III, AS, Dental Technician, Restorative Dentistry, graduated from Erie Community College with an Associate Degree in Dental Technology (AS) on May 2002. He continued his tenure in the family-owned, Balikowski Dental Laboratory, for fourteen years until 2012, after which he branched out on his own and opened a digital dental lab specializing in CAD CAM dentistry, aptly named CAD Lab. Currently Mr. Balikowski is the Digital Integration Specialist with the Department of Restorative Dentistry, School of Dental Medicine, SUNY at Buffalo and is also involved in scanning, designing and milling of all ceramic dental prosthetics. In addition, he works one-on-one educating post-graduate students on all areas of digital design of dental prosthetics.
