FUNCTION INFO, TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Primary@Pioneers Park is a relaxed, inviting and versatile venue for private functions, cocktail parties, weddings, Christmas parties, birthdays, meetings, corporate events and more......

We can host up to 120 guests for a cocktail-style function or up to 50 for sit down dining.

Our functions commence any time from 6pm and we are licensed until 11pm.

Entertainment

·  We have an ipod outlet on our stereo system for your own music

·  You can arrange a juke box or DJ or small band

Cake

Some guests choose to supply their own cake or dessert. There is a charge of $2.00 per head.

We can also arrange a decorated cake of your choice. The price varies depending on your choice.

Decorations

Decorations can be arranged for you at your cost. If you wish to supply your own decorations we will chat with you about what you can bring. Some decoration options we can arrange for you are as follows:

·  Balloons with strings, coordinated to your colour theme

·  Flower arrangements (price depends on size and flower choice)

·  Coloured napkins (price depends on colour and quantity required)

Decorations are not to be fixed to any surface at Primary@ Pioneers Park

ALL decorations must be removed from Primary @ Pioneers Park at the conclusion of your function.

Damage, cleaning, security

For larger functions a $500 bond is required against damage to the venue and any excess cleaning. This charge is fully refundable the day after the event.

Primary @ Pioneers Park reserves the right to charge for all damage and excess cleaning required. Customer’s address must be supplied so that we have a billing address in the event of damage to the venue.

Door security is required for most events. Up to 100 guests would require 2 security guards, over 100 requires 3. We arrange the security through TMP (1300 793 003) and the cost is covered by the customer, approximately $500.

The behaviour and conduct of your guests is your responsibility. Anti social or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated. Intoxicated persons will not be served alcohol and will be asked to leave in line with our responsibilities as a licensed venue.

We are licensed to 11pm so functions strictly cease at this time. Guests must depart the venue no later than 11.15pm as per our liquor license obligations. There will be NO alcohol served from 10.45pm. An additional $100 will be charged for every 15 minutes after 11.15 that guests remain. We are obliged to take our responsibilities as a licensed venue very seriously.

Fees and Charges

A minimum fee of $2,500.00 applies to all functions. This amount is the combined total cost of your food and drinks, but does not include any bond or security payment. If at the conclusion of the function the total is below $2,500 a top up payment will be required.

A $200 deposit is required to secure your date. This deposit is not refundable if you cancel your function within 4 weeks of the function date. Deposits for functions booked in November or December are not refundable if cancelled within 8 weeks of the function date.

Final numbers are due strictly 14 days prior to the function being held. At this point a final invoice will be issued for all costs (except drinks), including the bond and security if charged. This payment needs to be made no later than 7 days prior to the function date. After this point in time the payment, except for the bond and security, will be non refundable if you cancel the function or your guest numbers decrease. The invoice for drinks will be prepared immediately the function ceases and must be paid by the customer before leaving the venue.

Frequently asked questions

Where are you located?

We are on the corner of Peel St and Lyall Rd in Berwick. The large, red brick, old school building in the corner of Pioneers Park

Do you have parking?

There are a number of car spaces on Peel St directly in front of the venue. There is also ample parking across the road behind Dan Murphy and Woolworths and on the other side of the park in Brisbane St.

Do you cater for dietary requirements?

Please inform us of your guests needs no later 14 days from your event so we can do our best to cater for any special requests.

What time can my function start and finish?

The earliest start time is 6pm and we are licensed until 11pm.

Can we bring our own decorations and when can we drop them off to the venue?

Yes, you can provide your own decorations, but please keep in mind that everything must be taken with you at the end of the evening. Generally, as we are trading during the day, decorations, etc, can’t be dropped off until about 4pm.

Can we bring a cake?

Yes, you can bring a cake or if you prefer, we can source one for you. If you bring your own a $2 cakeage fee per guest applies.
