  2. Introduction of the participants

  2. Mediators in Europe-overview
    Maria Omodeo, COSPE.Time: 30 min.

  1. The learning team in second language learning
    Sunita Gulati, WSAES, Maria Omodeo, COSPE. Time: 60 min.Teachers work with their perception of language and culture guides. This will be reviewed on day 3.

7.Intercultural communication
Part I: Lucia Maddii, IRRE and Maria Omodeo, COSPE.
Part II: Maria Omodeo, COSPE and Irén Vetaas, WEA.
Presentation- theory and practice, short role play, discussion. Time: 3,5-4 hours.

DAY 3, THURSDAY 28 SEPTEMBER

1. 09:00 LCG profile and the “LCG package”
Anna-Maria Totomanova, CES. Review and add to the professional profile of LCGs. Basic knowledge of second language methodology relevant to LCGs. Time: 90min.

Coffee break: 20 min.

2. Recruitment criteria
Irén Vetaas, WEA. Discussion.Time: 60 min.

Lunch: 12:30-14:00

3. Cultural awareness in the classroom

Rachel Hutchin and Andrew Park (WSAES). Discussion.Time: 120min.

Coffee break: 20 min.

4. Evaluation and plans for the future in each country

National groups, time 30-40 min. Group discussion and feed-back on the different modules, what to use and what to change. Focus on how the groups think or plan to use materials and ideas from the seminar in their regular work and for the national BRIDGES training seminars.

Evaluation forms will be handed out at the beginning of the seminar. Finish writing the evaluation in national groups and hand it in to the coordinator.

Plenary discussion and feed-back. Time 30 min.
