Your artist’s statement testifies your creativity and integrity. You might include your favorite medium, what you like best about one piece of work you made, what tool, textures, colors, or patterns you use most often.

Begin with a simple statement of why you do the work you do. Explain how and why you select materials, techniques, and themes in your art. What are you exploring, attempting, challenging by doing this work. Keep the artist statement simple and truthful. Be sure to edit your writing before submitting.

Keep this to no more than 3 paragraphs, no longer than 100 words.
