Lot 10. The Book of the London International Chess Congress 1899. Longmans Green & Co 1900. L/N 5253. In the original cloth covers, the upper cover is embossed, gilt spine. The cover is slightly rubbed, corners bumped, slight chipping to the spine. Stamps of the Belfast Chess Club to several pages, including the title page. Otherwise very clean. Condition good.

In original cloth with embossed covers and gilt spine, spine is bumped and chipped top and bottom, corners bumped. The front endpapers split at hinge. Sign "Belfast Chess Club 1848" on the title page. Internally some pages are split at hinge (but none is loose). Clean and sound internally.
