Free WOW lunchbox stickers

For sites participating in the 2013 Less to Landfill Challenge we would like to offer our new stickers.

Stickers are 9mm in diameter and designed for student and staff lunchboxes to remind them and their families of their weekly Wipe Out Waste / Waste less/Nude Food day. A regular day is aimed at encouraging sites to minimise food and drink packaging waste (up to 50% of the contents of an average school bin) by packing a waste-less lunch.

We recommend that a letter is sent home to help families get involved in and make informed decisions around food packaging choices. A sample letter/ newsletter tips at We have included activities in the Less to Landfill part of the website which students can use to help identify food they would like to see in their lunch box.

We have attached a checklist to be filled in and sent to the WOW team showing your site’s commitment to less food packagingif you would like FREE stickers.

We recommend that at least one week day becomes a Wipe Out Waste / Waste less/Nude Food day for either a class, a year level, or for the whole school (if you are very keen, you could write ‘everyday’!)

Once the WOW team has received your checklist, the requested number of stickers will be sent to you. We recommend writing your chosen day on stickers with permanent marker( stickers are dishwasher proof) and sticking them on students’ lunchboxes while they are in the classroom.
