New Strategic Council Takes Shape

The National Outsourcing Association has today announced the results of its leadership elections – and 8 new people will take seats on the new strategic council, with a range of new positions accounting for the prevalence of outsourcing in all vertical sectors. Incumbent board members will continue in similar roles to their previous positions within the NOA. The core objective of the new council will be to help the NOA further its work in developing the outsourcing profession through the proliferation of standards and qualifications. The first meeting of the council is on April 22nd 2013.

Inaugurated at the first meeting of the NOA council on April 22nd 2013 will be:

  • Stephen Hayers, Head of Business Process Outsourcing, Astrazeneca
  • Kevin Devoy, Head of Procurement (outsourcing), Centrica
  • James Cuthell, Financial Service Relationship Manager, Everything Everywhere
  • OrlaKeady, Director, IT Sourcing, Deloitte
  • Jim Reed, Director of Procurement, University of Nottingham
  • Mark Devonshire, Head of Business Development, Capgemini
  • Derek Parlour, Head of Commercial, National Rail Enquiries
  • Sue Tompkins, Director, EQ Partnering

Notes for Editor

  • The National Outsourcing Association (NOA) is a non-profit organisation that represents the interests of outsourcing end users, suppliers and support services. Its focus is on delivering education, excellence and collaboration opportunities in all areas of outsourcing including: ITO, BPO and KPO.
  • Being on the NOA Council is a two-year commitment. All Council Members are required to attend two Council meetings per year, in order to create a blueprint for NOA activities
  • The Council’s objective is to help shape the strategic focus of the NOA and the industry, which will be tactically implemented by the NOA Executive (full-time employees). The Council is formed of representatives from NOA corporate members, spanning the entire outsourcing industry: end users, suppliers, support; all key verticals, all key horizontal functions, all leadership positions.
  • The Council will nominate four of its number to form the NOA Management Council – these people will be the interface with the NOA operational executive, observing that projects are delivered according to the agreed strategy. The Management Council for 2013 will be formed from incumbent Council members.
