A PROPOSAL
INTRODUCTION
Established in 1997, the Pacific University has made a mark on the educational map of India. Over the last 15 years, the Pacific University has continued to make rapid strides in the field of Higher & Technical Education.
It has established almost eighteen Institutes and become a multi-disciplinary conglomeration of colleges providing higher education in the diverse fields of Engineering, Management, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Computer Application, Hotel Management, Fire & Safety Management, Polytechnic Diploma, Mass Communication, Fashion Technology, Education, Arts, Commerce, Basic & Applied Sciences, M.Phil.and Research Programmes (Ph.D.) in all relevant disciplines.
Spread over 100 acres of greenery, the campus is replete with all modern amenities including state-of-the-art classrooms, separate hostels for boys and girls, Laboratories, and Libraries. The Pacific Dental College has the reputation of being No. 1 in India owing to the fact that it holds highest turn-out in the OPD and maximum practical exposure to its students.
The Pacific University has the best Placement average in North India and pioneered new programmes that assure a high profile career and pride of practicing the highest rated profession.
The Group today has a composite strength of over 15,000 students, 500 Faculty members and 700 non-teaching staff members.

PROPOSAL
It is proposed to provide free education to the youth (Boys and Girls) of Jammu and Kashmir in various colleges of Pacific University located at Udaipur (Rajasthan).
- This is in consonance with the central Govt, Ministry of HRD, Dept of Higher Education, Policy on the subject and refers to the office Memorandum –special Scholarship scheme for J&K –Furnishing of guidelines issued vide F.No 15-1/2011-NS-1 dated 18 Oct 2011.
- We are looking for students who are eligible as per the norms and are appearing for XII Board Exam this year and also those students who have passed their XII std last year but could not take adimission in colleges due to Financial Constraints.
- We would also like to act as a Force multiplier towards implementing all the welfare Schemes of State Govt in letter and sprit-as a sincere partner, may it be for the Tribal Development, education of Girl Child, Women empowerment or any such welfare scheme for the all round development of J&K and Synergise the whole process with a very positive attitude and Holistic approach.
Free education would include Tution and other fees, Uniform and also Hostel facilities. We have earmarked two dedicated Hostels (separate for Boys and Girls) for the students of J & K. This facility is mainly for the students who belong to the marginalised section of the society with the family income not exceeding 4.5 Lacs per annumand also SC/ST/OBC with following broad objectives: -
- To bring them to the main stream.
- Provide them with total quality education, better ambience and ensure 100% job openings.
- Keep them meaningfully occupied and endeavour to make them self reliant.
- An earnest effort to make them a real good asset for the Nation, quality citizens so that they are able to contribute towards betterment of society with a very positive attitude and holistic approach.
- Improve their quality of living by improving their economic condition and widen their horizon of thinking towards Nation building.
- Such other social development aims.
ASSISTANCE REQUIRED FROM STATE GOVT ARMY / PARA MILITARY FORCES /DISTRICT AUTHORITIES/ EDUCATION DEPARTMENTS
Identify the needy and talented students who fall in the category of marginalized section of Society with annual income less than 4.5 lac and those who fall under the category of SC/ST/OBC.
Mail us the Enquiry Form (Attached) in respect of every student.
District wise students Data as per the format attached.
This will enable us to keep the students on our panel and get in touch with them for admissions and other queries.
CONCLUSION
There can be nothing better than spreading the wings of education, contributing towards making better citizens, Nation building and giving back to the Society in a more befitting, meaningful and constructive way.
With the funds available for such noble and social cause, the Army can also sponsor the students in addition to our vacancies and make our hands stronger for the betterment and social upliftment of students/ citizens of J&K.
This is just a humble beginning, together we can do wonders as a force multiplier and complementary to our common Noble and Social Missions.
