2009 Scholarships

Application Procedures

  1. F.O.P. Tampa Lodge #27 will award four (4) Scholarships valued at $500.00 each and one (1) Don Newberger Scholarship valued at $500.00 for the 2009 school year.
  1. The Scholarships are to be used exclusively by the family members of an active member of Tampa Lodge #27; family members may be Children, Stepchildren, and Grandchild of an Active member of Lodge #27.
  1. The applicant must have a minimum grade point average (G.P.A.) of 2.0 for their current year of school. (High School or College).
  1. The “application form” must be completed and signed by the applicant.
  1. An official transcript must be submitted from the High School or College (Note: a final transcript is not necessary). The transcript must reflect a current G.P.A...
  1. First time College/University, applicants must submit a photo copy of their “acceptance letter” along with their High School Transcript. Continuing College/University students only need to submit a transcript.
  1. Applicants must submit two (2) letters of recommendation.
  1. An “Autobiographical” essay of 500 words with your educational goals, hours and type of community volunteer work, extracurricular activities that you participated in while in high school or college must be submitted in a typed and double space format.
  1. A cover letter indicating your intentions to apply for one of the five scholarships, must accompany the above documentation and be addressed to:

Applications with all required documentation postmarked on or before April 15th, 2009will be considered by the scholarship committee.
