Lacy STEP Tutoring is in Full Swing...We Can Use More Tutors!!
Come give 30-45 minutes, once a week with a student, and assist some of our wonderful, Little Lacy Lions!! We currently have needs in grades K-2 for 8:15-8:45, 8:20--8:50, 8:45-9:15, 9-9:30, 10-10:30, 1:30-2 and 2:10-2:40! Our needs for grades 3-5 are in the afternoons from 2:20-2:50! Fall Festival

Fall Festival is THIS Friday, October 20th, 5:00 – 8:00 PM.Bring the whole family out for a night of fun – haunted house, inflatables, mechanical bull, giant swing, fairy hair, Lego room, a DJ and MUCH MORE. The Martin Middle School Drama Club is part of this year’s Haunted House – it’s going to be the BEST one yet!! AND we’ll announce raffle prize winners at Fall Festival! KEEP SELLING TICKETS!$1 gives you a chance to win a GoPro hero camera, a night at the Umstead, an Apple watch, a helicopter ride over Raleigh + meal at Cantina 18, a weekend get-a-way to Kinston including a night at the hip, new Mother Earth Motor Lodge, gift card for dinner at Chef and the Farmer and an autographed cookbook from Chef owner Vivian Howard. 3rd Grade Parents

Anne Otersen will hold 2 information sessions about the 3rd grade Explorers Program and testing for the Academically or Intellectually Gifted Program. The first session will be Wednesday, October 25 from 8:45 – 9:15. The second session will be Thursday, October 26 from 12:00 – 12:30. These sessions will take place in room 2308 (Mrs. Dickson’s 5th grade classroom.) The same information will be shared in each session. FALL BOOK DRIVE

The Fall Book Drive is coming up so please clean out your bookshelves! Books will be used in the library and classrooms here at Lacy. Drop off books inmorning carpool October 23-27. If you have any questions, please contact Kacey Ragsdale () or Catherine George (), Community Outreach Co-Chairs.

Lacy Fall Clothing Drive

The Community Outreach Committee is getting ready for the Lacy Fall Clothing Drive. We are looking for donations ofgently usedfall/winter clothing sizes 3-16 (as well as small adult sizes), shoes, coats, hats and gloves as well asnewpacks of underwear, socks and camisoles. We cannot accept spring/summer clothing, pajamas or worn underwear or socks. Don't forget that your middle schoolers have clothes that will fit our 4th and 5th graders! To make a donation,drop off bagged clothing in morning carpool October 23-27. Clothes will be distributed from the stage the following week. If you wish for your child to receive clothes, there is a form in the Wednesday folder this week. One form per family. Music News

Our Lacy Pride Chorus was mentioned in an online review of the Raleigh Boychoir Concert October 8. The review can be found at: have also put a link on my website, accessible through the Lacy website. The students did a wonderful performance!

5th Grade will be presenting a Veteran's Day Concert on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 8:45 a.m. In addition to parents, we would like to extend a special invitation to Veterans in the Lacy community to come and share in this special tribute.

Chick-fil-A Spirit Night

Thank you to all of those that came out to Chick-fil-A Lake Boone on 10/2/17. The next spirit night will be 11/7/17. Please come out and support the Lacy Lions from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. A portion of all proceeds during the 2-hour period goes to Lacy. You can even participate by going through the drive through line!
