General Information:

  1. All-School Field Trip: We have a wonderful All-School Field Trip coming up on the last day of school before vacation. It is our Annual Elementary Schools Holiday Concert Sampler by the THS Music Department. The High School Band, Jazz Band, Orchestra, and Chorus each perform 2-3 songs for all the elementary students. It’s a tradition that our students look forward to each year. Due to the fact that close to 700 students will be attending the concert (that is before teachers and teacher assistants), we will not be seeking any additional chaperones for this field trip – simply because there is minimal seating available in the high school auditorium. However, if you would like to see the concert in its entirety (which is always AMAZING!), the high school music department will be hosting their concerts during the month of December. Permission slips are being sent home this week, and are also being uploaded to our website.
  2. Lunch Time:
  3. Change in Lunches for next week: Choice 2 will be Mini Pancakes and Eggs for the week.
  4. Water for Purchase: Students will be Limited 1 bottle of water purchase per lunch period. That water is to be consumed during lunch. We are having an issue with students – especially in 4th grade – who are purchasing multiple waters at lunch, not drinking them, then throwing the full bottles at each other in the hallways, at recess, in the stairwells, etc. Since we are trying to teach safety and good eating manners, each child will be allowed to purchase 1 bottle of water during our 25 minute lunch period to consume with their lunch, if they wish. If your child needs more than that, you can feel free to send them in with additional – but only 1 bottle of water will be sold per student per day. Thank you for your cooperation.
  5. PTO K-2 Polar Express Family Movie Night: Our PTO is sponsoring a Polar Express Family Movie Night on Friday, December 16, from 5:45-8:00 pm. Please come with your PJ’s on, bring a blanket to sit on and snuggle up in, have some juice and cookies, and watch the movie with your friends. It’s always a wonderful night!

Thank you, and I hope everyone has a terrific week.
