Celgene is seeking Formulation Development Scientists for our R&D facilities in New Jersey.
In this role, you will provide formulation development support for high priority drug candidates in the therapeutic areas of immunology and inflammation, hematology, and oncology. You will execute studies to design novel formulations and manufacturing processes for solid oral and injectable dosage forms. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to identify, define, and resolve challenges that arise during development related to pharmacokinetics, stability, packaging, and manufacturing technologies. This professional will participate in new equipment and technology evaluations, and will transfer technology and manufacturing processes from R&D to manufacturing sites. Other responsibilities include contribution to technical reports, external publications (as appropriate), regulatory submissions, and patent applications.
A Bachelors or Masters Degree in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, chemical engineering, chemistry or a closely related discipline is preferred. Opportunities are available for candidates with all levels of experience, from entry level to industry expert. The candidate should have a solid understanding of basic chemistry and/or engineering, good analytical and problem solving skills, ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
