2.  Students will behave in a manner that allows the teacher to instruct.

3.  Students will attend class with all supplies needed.

4.  Students will display a positive attitude and a willingness to cooperate.

CLASS PROCEDURES

1.  Upon entering the classroom students are expected to:

·  Take their seats immediately

·  Prepare for the assignment to be given

·  Will not turn on computers unless instructed to do so

·  Will not check their e-mail or work on the internet unless instructed to do so

2.  Listen carefully to instructions and begin work immediately or continue assignments from previous day.

3.  Be polite to others and use appropriate language and good manners at all times.

4.  The teacher will dismiss the class – not the bell. Students are to remain at their desks until dismissed. Do not crowd around the door waiting to be dismissed.

5.  Leaving the room will only be allowed if you are “sent for” by the office or given permission by the teacher.

CLASS ATTENDANCE

Students are expected to attend class each day. Assignments require students to be present and are difficult to make up; therefore, absences should be avoided if at all possible. Make-up work is due one week after an absence. If you are going to be absent, you must call in and notify (teacher’s name) or an office secretary of your absence, or leave a message on the Career and Technical Education phone (insert phone number).

CONSEQUENCES OF STUDENT MISBEHAVIOR

1.  Verbal warning made to class or individual student

2.  Teacher/Student conference

3.  Discipline referral to Assistant Principal

I have read and understand the rules, class procedures, attendance policy, and consequences of misbehavior in the work-based learning classroom.
