Chicago Tribute Authority to Entertain at Auburn Library Garden on June 20

May 4, 2010, Auburn – Auburn’s 2010 Summer Series Concerts kick off with Chicago Tribute Authority on Sunday, June 20. The Auburn Library Garden Theater is the venue for this popular summer concert series, celebrating its 22nd season.

Chicago Tribute Authority is the culmination of the dream of drummer and lead vocalist Brian Clark, a long-time Chicago fan. The band debuted at Harrah's Lake Tahoe in June 2006. Comprised of eight extremely talented musicians, Chicago Tribute Authority pays tribute to Chicago by faithfully reproducing their music, starting with the first songs in 1967 and continuing to their more recent hits.

The music of Chicago has defined a generation. Their sound and lyrics have touched every facet of our lives from emotional relationships to insightful political commentaries on our times. Chicago Tribute Authority brings the Chicago concert tour experience to Auburn’s intimate Library Garden Theater.

The free concerts start at 7:00pm on Sunday, June 20 and June 27, and continue on Sunday July 11 and July 18.

The Library Garden Theatre is located at 350 Nevada St., adjacent to the Auburn Library. Bring low-backed chairs, blankets and picnics for a delightful evening of music in this lovely outdoor theatre. No refreshments available.

A host of sponsors and community volunteers makes this concert series possible, including the students and parents of the Placer High School Music Boosters who help with the sound equipment at each concert.

Upcoming performances include The Air Force Band of the Golden West on Sunday, June 27, Old West Trio on Sunday July 11 and Ivan Najera on Sunday July 18. There will not be a concert on July 4.
