CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1.The organisers / committee of the RIVERSIDE RIDING CLUB reserve the right to cancel, alter or combine any event/s they may deem necessary on the day.

2.The grounds are public open space and cannot be sealed from the public ACCESS. All entrants must sign the declaration when picking up numbers or they will NOT be allowed to compete.

3.All persons on horseback are required to wear a recognised STANDARDS APPROVED helmet and boots, as a condition of entry.

4.ALL Competitors will require a current official EFA or SHC-WA Height Certificate.

5.Rider’s age will be as at the day of the event.

6.Riders of Ponies in Ring 1 classes 11 -12 and 13 and Novice Ring classes 13 and 14 are to be not exceeding 17 years on day of show (ie under 18 yrs).

7.Stallions are not permitted in Show Horse classes.

8.The judges’ decisions are final. Under no circumstances is approaching the judge, judging or coaching from the side of the arena / ring permitted. Failure to abide by this rule will lead to disqualification and forfeit of entry fees.

9.Dogs on the grounds must be leashed.

10.The RIVERSIDE RIDING CLUB and its COMMITTEE, JUDGES, OFFICIALS, DO NOTaccept any liability for any accident, loss, damage, illness or injury to horses, owners, riders, spectators or any other person or property whatsoever. Entry to grounds is at your own risk and the “Waiver of Liability” form must be signed by all entrants prior to participation; this is a condition of our insurance.

11.The club canteen will be operational.

  • As the EWA have dropped the Unofficial ruling, the Novice ring is now available to all competitors who meet the below requirements. All other competitors compete in the Open rings.
  • The Novice ring is open to all Horse/Rider combinations nothaving won more than 4 official wins in any of the Height, Weight, Girls/Ladies, or Boys/Gents hack or hunter classes.

Novice Rider classes are open to all competitors (horse and rider combinations) who have not won 4 or more official rider events. Horse/Rider combinations are either Novice or Open at this show – NOT both
